Daddy's Day!

One of my all time favorite photos of my LOVE.

I know I'm a couple of days behind on this but I've been breathing in country air and wanted to wait and sip this post slowly. It means so much to me.
DARCY = Daddy
Andrew is a lucky little man.
And I am one blessed Mumma.

He takes care of us.  Never stops learning and challenging himself.
Offers smiles, jokes, and kindness always.
A little tid bit... this man has never missed a day of work in 12 years, aside from scheduled vacation.
No sick days, no mental health days, no check out days.
He works so hard to be all he can be.  Love that!

These phone photos seem to tell a story all on their own....
Father's day was relaxing, full of coffee, a few naps, and some awesome park time.
We basically had a jam packed day of FUN.  The kind that comes at no cost, the best kind.

Forever grateful for a healthy and wonderful family!
Happy Father's Day Darcy.  Love ya so much!

DADS!

My Dad is perhaps the greatest superhero to ever live!
That is said with no exaggeration, no kidding, and no bull!

We have shared many years of CFL seasons tickets.  Just him and I.
We rarely miss a game and we take a silly self portrait every single time.
We capture these moments.  They mean so much to me to be able to have this event with my Dad!
Find a tradition.  Make it yours. Something he has taught me to grab and love.

He is a Farmer.
A Husband.
A Dad.
A Grandpa.
And to Andrew, he's PAPA.
The Best.
He is brilliant.  Never giving himself the credit he deserves.
He is the lifeline of our family, the power and passion.  The old fashion kind.  It's REAL!
Teacher, mentor, silent and strong.
He keeps opinions to himself when it is the right thing to do. His words are meaningful when they must be. People listen.
He has instilled honesty and pride in me.  Something that our busy world looses track of in order to get ahead.
My Dad, along side my Mom is the hardest worker I know.
He will be 65 next week and he can work circles around 10 young men. BIG CIRCLES.
GOOD. HONEST. Old school HARD WORK!

Andrew looks up to his Papa and looks just like his Papa.  Amazing.
I love you so much Dad!
Thank you for all you do.  For all you are.  For all you give.
XOXOX

Tomorrow I will be posting on Andrew's Dad.  A very special man who deserves his very own post.
Love you D!

JACK!

The dude does not sit for long!
In 8 seconds (or less) I caught him drooling and reading a story to himself.
He is a DELIGHT!
And gives the most amazing hugs...
LUV HIM!!!

PURE COUNTRY!

Never in a hundred years will I be able to put into words what these photos mean to me.

Country roots.
Country life.
Country family.

Nothing like it.  I wish I could package it and pass it around to all the wonderful folks I know.
It is a reward like no other.  A true blessing.  Something I wish everyone could experience, even for just one day.
Sharing this heritage with our wee Bean is the greatest gift we can pass his way. It is honest heritage.
My parents are third generation on this land. My Great Grandfather (Andrew) a pioneer in the area.
I've touched on my rural upbringing before but I can't help but post about it over and over.

I live in the city for now but I am PURE COUNTRY!
Thank you Papa and Grama for the treasures.

(these are everyday photos captured in the middle of workdays.  no posing necessary)
(these little ditties are from my iPhone.  I annoy the hell out of everyone but I love capturing special moments!)
