This is 40!

All day long...

The day came and went.

I didn't have a shower (gross eh).

I didn't get a Timmies.

We were too busy running through the sprinklers, eating blueberries and hanging out in our backyard.

I had pb and toast for breakfast, just like every other day.

And I don't think we even turned on the TV.

But the best part of my day…. 

without a doubt.

These smiles.

BEST GIFT EVER!

I'm officially 40.
What a blessing.

Buggy. SIX MONTHS ALREADY!?

 She's SIX months old!  Our Baby Buggy Bug.
(ok, closer to SEVEN but I'm trying to catch up).

She LOVES her soothers.

… and by LOVE I mean she hoards them.  Always has one within reach.  One in her mouth and one in each hand.  It hilarious.

She laughs from her toes all day long.  HAPPY is a great word to describe our Bug.

She ADORES her big brother.  I can't say I blame her, he is such a cool dude!

She can almost sit up, is eating real food, and is crazy tall for her age.

She is the most beautiful blue eyed girl I've ever met.

and she has my Mom's crooked grin (what an awesome trait to share).

I'm so happy to be her Mumma.
(even if she still wakes up multiple times at night to snack… )

FIVE!

I still have a giggle when I say "my little girl".
I have a daughter.
And she is FIVE months old.

Sigh.
I'm so grateful.

I have a son AND a daughter.
Wow, even more unreal.

Anna is well past 5 months but in keeping with tradition, here are a few from her monthly photo shoot with her Mumma.

I love her to the moon and back at least 3 times!

Soccer star!

Last week we started soccer.
Huge success!
Lots of laughs, fresh air, exercise, hanging with his "buds" and a new, local, affordable adventure.

And thanks to Mother Nature, we've already had a snow out game.  Yes, SNOW!

There have been a few of these moments….

But way more of these.

I'd call it a win indeed! So far anyway.

Crazy in love with this little mug.  

I'm starting to see so much personality and pick out family traits galore.

That crooked grin in the photo above is EXACTLY like my Mom's!

I've discovered a few tiny secrets to getting a smile out of our little love.

She's smiling a lot these days.  We all smile back.  Such a happy wee one.

Open mouth sleeps.  Heavy snores.  Just like Dad!

At the Dentist!

It was like the waiting area was made especially for him.

Farm, diggers, dump trucks, and all of the colours of his bedroom.

Yesterday marked another milestone... Bean's first Dentist visit.

This picture makes him look like he was a bit nervous, but honestly….

HE ROCKED IT!

They really treated him like a Rock Star!

And we didn't leave empty handed.

New brush, stickers and a toy.  Everyone in the office passed along high fives!

What a positive experience.

For Calgary peeps.  I highly recommend Dr. Warren Leoppky. The 2-3 month wait you'll have to get into an appointment will be well worth it for your kiddos.   His staff is wonderful.
