Turtle Cookie Bars! OMGOODNESS!


SOOOOOOOOO YUMMY!



TURTLE COOKIE BARS

CRUST
2 cups all purpose flour
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup soft butter

2nd LAYER
1 cup pecan halves
2/3 cup butter
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup milk chocolate morsels

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Combine crust ingredients, beat at medium speed until blended.
Pat mixture firmly into an ungreased 9x9 pan.
Arrange pecans over crust.
Combine 2/3 cup butter and 1/2 cup brown sugar in saucepan.  Bring to a boil over medium heat.
Stir constantly cooking for 3 minutes.
Pour mixture over pecans.
Bake for 15-17 mins until golden and bubbly.
Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chocolate. 
Let stand 2-3 minutes then gently swirl chocolate with a knife.
Let cool before cutting.

  1. Oh goodness, these look delicious. And you even photograph food well, too. =) The splash park pictures are perfect... what a perfect way to spend a summer day. Now, time for me to find some pecans. =)

  3. ummmm YUM! if you knew how many s'mores I ate this weekend you'd be sick. I have a serious love affair with chocolate.
