Just one from a pool session.
See that reddish hair… I SO HOPE IT STAYS!!
Sigh.
Sweet dreams little Buggy, you are so loved.
OFFER KINDNESS. CHOOSE GENEROSITY. GIVE LOVE! Thank you for joining our journey.

2 months big...
And just like that our littlest is 2 months old.
Well, more than that now (I'm behind a few weeks, I'll admit it).
Baby Buggy continues to bless our family with cuddles, memories, and new little smiles.
She's jabbering and blowing bubbles.
CUTEST!
Love her so.
Anna at 2 months.
Having children makes our home a chaotic and wonderful place.
Everyday we learn.
…about patience.
… about life lessons.
… and about ourselves.
We wouldn't have it any other way.

Poolside.
I am outnumbered.
Two children, one parent.
Thankfully with my parent's extra sets of hands we are able to sneak away and enjoy some pool time.
The weather has been perfect.
I may never need snow again! N.E.V.E.R!!
One hour each day we get to the pool. Just him and I (and a special guest the odd time).
Time like this is so rare now with a new baby.
I love them both so much. But this Wee Bean made me a Mumma!
I'm learning a lot of sweet moves at the pool I tell ya.
And Bean is making so many new friends… all retired and full of wisdom.
Those are great friends to have.

February...
The last few weeks have been LOOOOONG.
Ol Man Winter is getting OLD! Very old!
And the colds and flus he has brought with him this year are getting us down.
So high five to the Ol Man and see ya later big guy, we are outta here!
We've escaped for some much needed sun, family time and extra hands to help with our expanded family. (I'm ok to admit that)
Our return tickets to winter have not even been purchased…

Double Chocolate Chip Cookies
UHM HELLO BEAUTIFUL!
HELLO YUMMY!
These will make your Sweetheart happy, I'm sure of it!
A new recipe to me but one I guarantee I'll be heading back to very very soon!
(and as always my wee Bean was a helper so this one is a great one to make with kiddos who like to crack eggs!)
HELLO YUMMY!
These will make your Sweetheart happy, I'm sure of it!
A new recipe to me but one I guarantee I'll be heading back to very very soon!
(and as always my wee Bean was a helper so this one is a great one to make with kiddos who like to crack eggs!)
Ingredients
- 3 cups white flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 1½ tsp. baking soda
- ¾ tsp. salt
- 1¾ cup butter, softened
- 3 cups sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1½ tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instruction:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Cream butter and sugar until creamy.
Add the eggs and vanilla and mix well.
In a separate bowl combine the flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt.
Pour the flour mixture into the butter mixture, and mix well. Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased baking sheet (I always place my cookies on parchment paper). Sprinkle tops with sugar.
Bake 8-11 mins, depending on your oven. The cookies will be a bit soft and squishy but cool them completely and they will be chewy, not crunch.
Next time I'm going to add white chocolate chips!!
ENJOY!
I borrowed this recipe (and changed a few minor things) from a Fellow Mumma blogger, Kierste. She is quite possibly the most domesticated woman on the planet, seriously. And she has FIVE kids, 2 sets of twins. For real!
Thank you Simply Kierste for always sharing your quick and easy recipes!

Meanwhile in Fernie...
And it's only early February!
Someone enjoys this weather…
These lovely critters hang out in our backyard in Fernie… often.
And poop in our backyard… often.
Someone likes to have chats with Rudolf!
(He is convinced one is Rudikins - seriously. I'm not telling him otherwise).
Our 84 year old neighbour, Dick, has an impressive wood pile.
He uses it in his shop daily.
Beanie likes to clear the snow around it.
CHORES!
And who wouldn't want to slide down the 6 foot snow pile in the alley?!
And of course the diggers can not be left out!
I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!
(This perfect grin makes the freak outs and melt downs all tolerable!)
