Winter Parks

There are so many wonderful parks in our city.
Some of them are high tech, super sweet, new age.

We explore in full winter gear sometime.

It's a great excuse for an apres park hot chocolate tea stop!  (who am I kidding its an excuse to go to Timmies!).

These smiles!

No gifts from Christmas were touched today.

3 hours straight… outside.
Shovelling, falling down, chilly toes, snow mustaches, forts and secret pathways.

It is still snowing.
Tomorrow we press repeat!

They like winter I guess?

These snowsuits are BURTON.  Without a doubt the best snowsuits we have ever had
(and we have had MANY!).
Light weight, warm, stretchy.  I wish I had one.

Welcome February!

These two are my heart and soul.
I love them with all that I am.

And they make me slightly crazy at the same time! Getting outside helps with the crazy.

Popsicles are popular all year long over here.
When the sun is out we enjoy popsicles.

She skis!

Today our wee Miss was on skis for the very first time.
She had a blast!
Again! Again! Again! She said it over and over.
Phewf.  She likes it… we hope.

We don't push our kiddos to like what we do but we sure are pleased with her first day on skis.
So many smiles.

PROUD DAY!!

Strollin...

These two.
We've done a bit of exploring for winter shoots.
Something we hope to do more of.

These two are my favorite!

In season...

Popsicles are always in season around our home.
We make our own.
We buy them.
We share them.
You name it…  we just really love popsicles.

And by WE I mean the two tiny ice hounds that rule our existence.

Bless these sticky silly faces!
(someone always ends up with popsicle in their hair.  Every. Single. Time.)

And just an FYI… GRAPE ALWAYS WINS!

(why the heck don't they sell all grape flavoured packages of popsicles?  WHY?!)

Out of the house.

Officially 2 weeks post knee surgery.
Officially OUT OF THE HOUSE!

Back to welcoming routines and fresh air.  I've been taking those for granted.
I love routines, who am I kidding?  AMEN!
I feel as though Spring arrived.  We aren't being fools about that though.
We know what waits around that corner.
Oh yes, we know.

In the meantime.
We shovel, sweep, bust out sandbox toys, breath in the cool fresh air and teach Buggy about staying on the sidewalk.
LORD HELP ME!

The big brother is very particular about his shovelling technique.
(no idea where he gets that from - ha…)

In the swing of Winter...

We are in the full swing of winter here.  FULL!
Someone is ok with photos… someone is way too cool.
I'll let you decide who is who.

Just a few days off of knee surgery means I have not left our home in 8 days.  8 days with NO FRESH AIR!
Good times.
It also means very few photos were taken this week.  Boo.
But these two kiddos have me crawling and moving and appreciating in all different ways.
I snapped a few pictures from our back step, it is as close as I could safely get to fresh air.
Don't tell Darcy or my Mom I was down there.

TGIF!
I hope the weekend brings you happy fresh air and a restful week.

AND
a sincere thanks to my family and friends who have helped me/us this weekend.
I can't really explain how grateful I am.  You've done my laundry, fed my family, taken out my garbage, washed my floor, played on the carpet with my babies and given me a rest.
Bless you!  Seriously, BLESS YOU!
xoxo

Dear Santa 2014 edition

Hoping the big guy in the red suit gets our letter before heading out on his road trip on Dec 24th.
So fun to see this magic unfold.
Too bad it was minus a million degrees.
Getting to the mailbox took a lot of effort and its only 2 blocks away!

Clearly wee Buggy isn't as impressed.
Maybe next year?
