Go outside!

His version.

Her version.

In our happy little home I'm feeling the technology crunch.
I'm the guiltiest under this roof.

Working so hard lately at being present.  Encouraging less stuff and more fresh air.
It's really hard for me.
I'm constantly planning and processing 3 steps ahead, just to try to keep up.

The iPad is a beautiful invention.
It buys us parents some time to breath, eat, or pee on our own.  WOW.  What a concept.
Lately though… it's driving me NUTZ!
I want less iPad in our home.

This mean a few extra BRIBES.
A LOT more popsicles.
And a whole lot more sandbox explosion messes I have to take care of…
but I'm willing, I'm trying.

GO OUTSIDE.
It's worth it!

March 18, 2013

TWO year journey.

My PLUSONEWEEBEAN adventure continues to heal me, love me, challenge me, and bring out the best in me.
My blog is officially two years old as of last night.
I spent the day doing what I love.  Cuddling my little, sipping tea with my big, and shooting all kinds of photos.

HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY PLUSONEWEEBEAN.
Thank you for the tour thus far.
We are just getting our groove on.

And in honor of St. Patrick's day I say prayers to my Irish Grandfather, Patrick.
He was indeed special to me in ways I'll never be able to explain.
We sipped Pepsi, ate wagonwheels, and swapped stories and songs most Sunday afternoons before I went back to college residence.
Love you Grampa Pat!

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!
TOO RA LOO RA LOO RA!
That's an Irish Lullaby...

Over in Killarney,
Many years ago,
Me mither sang a song to me
In tones so sweet and low.
Just a simple little ditty,
In her good ould Irish way,
And I'd give the world if she could sing
That song to me this day.
Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral,
Too-ra-loo-ra-li,
Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral,
Hush, now don't you cry!
Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral,
Too-ra-loo-ra-li,
Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral,
That's an Irish lullaby.
Oft, in dreams I wander
To that cot again,
I feel her arms a huggin' me
As when she held me then.
And I hear her voice a humin'
To me as in days or yore,
When she used to rock me fast asleep
Outside the cabin door.
Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral,
Too-ra-loo-ra-li,
Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral,
Hush, now don't you cry!
Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral,
Too-ra-loo-ra-li,
Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral,
That's an Irish lullaby.
