Nothing Runs Like A Deere!

Can't really argue with that now can you?!

Harvest is coming to a close and someone is just getting warmed up.
As I kid I spent endless hours in combines and tractors. Snacks, homework, conversation, around and around the field.  Wouldn't have it any other way.

Andrew seems to know more about rural life and farming mechanics than a lot of adults will know in a lifetime.  I'm really proud of that and he isn't quite 3.
Kiddos these days just seem to pick up everything so fast.  Ask this kid about the process of harvest, he'll tell you right down to the detail of flour making noodles and donuts.  He has been coached, but he knows.

It was mentioned that a mouse went into the canola swath today and maybe ended up in the combine.
Bean translation later ... "We chopped a chipmunk!"

Details! Details!

Cookie baking with Grama is becoming very routine around these parts.
Diggers and dump trucks add to the ambiance!

Happy Fall, happy harvest, blessings galore.

Back in September...

I've been meaning to post some photos from this year's harvest.
The weather was amazing.
The sunsets were out of this world.

The warmth and stillness was something I wish I could package up and feed to city folks!

Harvest.
For Terra Velde Farms.
My family.

Harvest.
A very significant time of year.

TWO in green.

Someone please press the STOP TIME button.
Please!
Hard to believe he is TWO.
HE, being the most precious creature I have ever know.  Andrew.
The big TWO party (that was supposed to be a low key family gathering at Grama & Papa's farm) turned into an amazing memory.
We are so thankful for everyone who joined.
Yes I made this cake below.
Easiest cake ever!
Lord bless home made cakes.
A tradition my Mom kept and I will continue to honor it.

Uhm... obviously we are a JOHN DEERE family and Beanie has taken a huge love to all things John Deere green.
I kinda think my Dad is in heaven.

The famous
TWO!!!!!

More birthday celebration photos to follow.  I only took 2000!  No really.
Happy Birthday week sweet Bean.
Love you more and more every single day!
