Grado TRES!

Grade THREE!
How can it be?!
Andrew loves school.
He is generally happy to be there, has always liked his Teachers (so far) and we are so grateful he rarely complains about the privilege of going to school.

This week he started at a new campus, Glenmeadows.  Finally, all the Spanish students are on one campus sharing so many common and exciting traditions, new and old.
We are really happy this time has arrived, a lot of hard work went into this tradition from families and staff.

GRADO TRES!
GRACIAS!!!

TRI hard

We love the triathlon community. It is very dear to my heart.
SWIM. BIKE. RUN. REPEAT!

I have spent endless hours doing and loving all three.
Now our Andrew is embracing the triathlon world in his own awesome way.  We have a blast watching him meet new kids, learn new rules, and breath in the fresh air.

The Fernie Tri is such a positive and well organized event.  Kids of all ages and levels join in and it is a gas watching them all do their thing.

He finishes healthy and smiling and waving his hands in the air.  It was straight out of a movie.

We are so proud of our Wee Bean.  He competes like  a total champ and smiles huge the entire way!
WAY TO GO ANDREW!  You are a Triathlete once again.

(If he is anything like his Mom he enjoys the snacks at the end too.)

FIVE!!!

Happy FIVE to our little big man.
He is curious and brave, and smart.
He likes to create with his big heart.
He is logical and organized and wise beyond his years.

Don't try to sneak something by him.  He will figure it out and have you wondering WTH?!

Love you Andrew.

Good Friday!

Happy Good Friday.
Today was GOOD indeed.
Whether you 'observe' or 'remember' Christ's death, I hope it was indeed a great day.

It is a significant day in the Christian belief, something I basically never include in my blog but do indeed believe.
Today, Good Friday, Christ died for us. A sacrifice indeed.

Wishing you and yours a very Happy Easter.
I'll be taking a blogholiday to decorate eggs, bake pies, overeat, drink too many glasses of wine, and hug my goofy little family.  Uhm, yeah, I will also be eating chocolate, and playing referee to the other's in my house who will likely be fighting over said chocolate.
Mine! No mine! No mine!  Good grief.

Happy Easter.
xo

I promise I don't just feed my kids popsicles.
But come one…. sun = popsicles.
Embracing all the good… and sugar!

Tonight during prayers...

"I am thankful for:
     Tankie.
     My Combine.
     Diggers.
     My clean bed.
     Baby Anna.
     My skid steer.
     Joey."

I almost cried.
My boy has a heart of gold.
Every night we do Prayers.  He always asks to start.
For Andrew and I that means listing all of the things off that we have and love and are grateful for.
He is learning that not everyone has all of the "things" that we do.  All of the opportunities that we have.  All of the resources we can access.
Slowly.
But he IS learning.

I know he knows, he's a smart little boy.

Tonight, and every night, I am thankful for a zillion things, especially these two!

Friday Favorite!

We've been at the farm all week. Hands down the highlight for this Mumma this week.
Andrew on Buddy!

Thanks to a fall at 18 I'm not super brave around horses.
I feel crazy sadness over it but I'm clueless around them.
Horses are a big part of my family.
Seeing our little man on Buddy was nothing short of perfect!
So proud of my boy.
And I think his Papa was too.
